D.R. Martin

D.R. Martin is the author and story illustrator of The Grim Chronicles. He originally conceived of the Grim series while working as a teacher in Bangkok, Thailand. The youngest of eight children in a navy family, he has a B.A. in Film from the University of Utah (Go Utes), and an M.A. in Media Management from Columbia College in Chicago. D.R. has run three marathons (26) and is an avid lover of art, drums, animals, and playing outside. He is also a painter and illustrator of other silly designs at dolphinandcow.com. He now lives with his wife, son, and two cats in the suburbs of Chicago.
